Computers now available for Cranbrook families
The Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Kootenay Computer, has established a computer donation program and now has 20 computers, both laptop and tower, available for Cranbrook families.
“We are working to bridge the digital divide and ensure that everyone in Cranbrook who need a computer has one,” said Kootenay Computer’s Sebastiaan vander Horst. “A computer and online access is no longer a luxury. It is essential for school work and to have a fully functioning household.”
The Computer Donation Program has collected equipment from chamber members and Kootenay Computer has completed a total refurbishment to like new with up to date operating systems, software and virus protection.
The Computer Donation Program has partnered with the Salvation Army to match families with the equipment. If you would like to avail yourself of this program please contact Nancy at the Salvation Army at 250-426-3612.
