East Kootenay/UVIC Teacher Education program students (L-R: Peter, Angalea, Syndi, Nicole, Cailey, Hayley and Toni) at College of the Rockies held a bake sale on Thursday, October 9 to raise funds for Rocky Mountain Elementary School in Elkford.

An electrical fire in June destroyed the school’s books and supplies and, as future teachers, the students believed it was important to help them get back up and running.  The proceeds of the bake sale, totaling $736.15, will go directly to Rocky Mountain Elementary.
