CUPE Local 2773 hands COTR 72 hour strike notice

CUPE Local 2773, the union that represents the support staff at College of the Rockies has served the college with 72 hour strike notice.

The union has indicated that they expect to have picket lines up at the majority of the college campuses on Monday morning (Nov. 19).
The college expects that no faculty will cross the picket line and classes will be cancelled.

The Invermere and Kimberley campuses will be closed during labour action.
The Cranbrook main campus, Gold Creek administration building and the Creston, Golden and Fernie campus reception will be open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Cranbrook main campus building will be open Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
All campuses that are open will have management staff available to answer any questions and deal with student issues.
