District looking at road closure
The District of Elkford is asking residents to let them know if the proposed Boivin Road Area Highway Closure Bylaw No. 729, 2012, will have any effect on them.
A copy of the proposed Bylaw may be inspected in the District of Elkford Municipal Office, at 816 Michel Road, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday to Friday, except statutory holidays, from July 10 to July 23, or on the district website: www.elkford.ca .
All persons who deem their interest affected by the bylaw will be provided an opportunity to make representations to council. If unable to attend the regular council meeting of July 23 (6 p.m.), persons may submit written comments no later than 4 p.m., July 23, to the address or e-mail above. All submissions will form part of the public record, the district notes.
The intent of bylaw is to close a portion of roadway adjacent to Boivin Road. It is legally described as ‘Walkway Dedicated by Plan 14097 DL 12378 Kootenay District’ and the district owns the land.
