Elkford residents have been getting phone calls concerning water testing and the District of Elkford wants residents to know it has nothing to do with these calls.

The district this morning (Feb. 12) posted on its Facebook page that it is not making the calls. “This is a private company that is probably looking to sell water filtration systems. You have no obligation to allow them into your home.

“Elkford water is tested bi-weekly at multiple locations throughout the community, all with great results. Water analytical testing is performed yearly and the results can be viewed on our website. In addition, Elkford’s water won a bronze medal for the best tasting water at the 2006 Berkeley Springs Competition.”
