Dunk a Mountie!
On June 27, members of the Cranbrook RCMP will once again show their support for Special Olympics BC, by taking part in the Draft an Athlete Dunk Tank and BBQ event.
Several of our local RCMP members have volunteered to take the plunge for this great cause; to raise awareness and funding for Special Olympics BC and our local Special Olympics athletes.
This is affordable fun for a good cause, as the Dunk Tank and BBQ is only $5 for three chances to dunk a Mountie.
Barbecue hamburgers and hotdogs will be available for purchase.
The event runs from noon to 2 p.m. at the Cranbrook RCMP offices – 31-11th Avenue South (at the rear city parking lot).
Draft an Athlete supports local Special Olympics athletes to attend the upcoming 2013 Special Olympics Summer Games being held in Langley, from July 11 – 14.
Throughout the Games athletes will experience the power of sport to inspire greatness and transform lives. The Games will spark a fire in the hearts of athletes that will burn bright long after the Games have come to a close. Getting to the Games shouldn’t be the hardest part. Therefore support our local athletes by dunking a Mountie to help send them to the Games.
