E-KNOW to present fresh new look
East Kootenay News Online Weekly has only been in existence for 11 months and we’ve been enjoying steady growth in readers since we opened for business in July 2011.
The continued and expanding interest in the online regional newspaper created a ‘good problem’ for us: issues with our website because of all the traffic.
In order to keep up with the times and to offer a faster, more functional site, e-KNOW teamed up with Genex Marketing and with the Cranbrook-based company we are presenting an entirely new look this evening (June 5).
Please bear with us during the transition as we’ve already noted some funky stuff happening with our photos (especially vertical shots). We ask for patience and understanding over the next couple of days as we iron out the kinks. (The editor would prefer to smash the kinks out with a large sledgehammer but he’s been told that would damage his computer).
We hope you like our new look and we thank all our readers for their interest and support. In a short time we have become the most popular online news presence in the region and we look forward to continuing to provide pertinent news, community information and Kootenay spirit a-plenty in the coming years.
E-KNOW remains a free regional news conduit that welcomes all community organization submissions, letters to the editor, guest columns/opinions, creative writing, photographic features and more.
Please check out our free classified section if you have items to vend and our affordable advertising rates, along with a high volume of site visitors, gives sound odds to people visiting your own website by clicking on an advertisement posted on e-KNOW.
Call 250-421-1668 to discuss advertising and call 250-421-1660 for any editorial questions or to learn more about how you can get your community organization included in our event promotion and coverage.
Cheers and thanks.
