Save the date, Elkford!
On Saturday, September 13, the grill will be sizzling, the trucks will be gleaming and our first responders will be ready to welcome you back.
The District of Elkford’s fire department, Elkford Fire Rescue (EFR), is proud to host our annual Emergency Services Open House + BBQ at the fire hall. Free, family-friendly and open to all, this is your chance to tour the trucks, check out the gear and ask your burning questions about fire safety!
And it doesn’t stop there: we’ve also assembled an all-star lineup of our community’s finest first responders. Come meet the many faces of Elkford’s emergency services teams and shake hands with the everyday heroes in uniform who keep us all safe.
Members of District of Elkford council and staff will also be there to show their support, help sling burgers and celebrate all those who bravely answer the call in our town.
Bring the whole family (and your appetite) and stay awhile to visit with your neighbours behind the lights and sirens.
The kids will love it… and you will too!
