RCMP Presentation of the 2014 Second Quarter Crime Statistics

Cpl. Gerry Sliworsky presented crime statistics for the District of Elkford to council July 28. The report represented some of the calls for police service within the district in the second quarter of 2014.

Water Street sewer pipe-lining

The District of Elkford awarded the pipe-lining contract to Mar-Tech Underground Services Ltd. The pipe-lining project will stop infiltration of ground water into the Water Street Sewer Lift Station and will be completed in 2014.

Bylaws

Firearms Regulation Bylaw No. 747, 2014:
 This Bylaw makes slight modifications to the boundary in which discharge of firearms is prohibited within the District of Elkford, and provides a new definition of firearm. The bylaw has now been adopted and is in force.

Ticket Information Utilization Amendment Bylaw No. 764, 2014:
 This Bylaw provides a schedule of fines associated with the District of Elkford Building Bylaw, Zoning Bylaw and Firearms Regulation Bylaw. This bylaw has now been adopted.
