On July 15 at 4:38 pm (local time) Columbia Valley RCMP received a call about a mud slide in Fairmont Hot Springs.

There was an immediate response to this large scale land slide by RCMP and a number of other agencies.  The slide has affected parts of Fairmont including Highway 93/95.

The RCMP has activated a provincial multi-agency Incident Command response that is led by a unified command team.  The situation is currently being assessed.

No further information is available at this time, updates will be provided by the RCMP as they become available.
