Fall Community Job Fair October 23
EK Employment Elk Valley is excited to announce the date for this year’s Community Job Fair!
In an age where most jobs require online applications, job fairs are a great and rare opportunity to make personal connections. Job fairs are a great way to practice your skills, secure an interview, get a job, and explore what jobs are out there.
Employers and job seekers are invited to attend the event, which will be held at the Fernie Community Centre on Thursday, October 23 from 2 to 5 p.m. Don’t miss out on securing your next great job or meeting your next great hire.
The Elk Valley’s Community Job Fair features both permanent and seasonal job opportunities. Last year’s job fair saw over 25 employers needing to fill hundreds of positions.
Employers on site were from the entire Elk Valley and hiring for a variety of sectors, including: landscaping, hospitality, maintenance, mining, fitness and health, food and beverage, tourism, finance, trades, retail, administration, transportation, and more! Our goal each year is to expand the number and variety of positions available to job seekers at the Fair.
Job seekers across the region are invited to attend. Pre-registration is not required. Simply come prepared with your resume and interview skills. Interested to know which employers have confirmed attendance?

Our storefront in Fernie is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Our kiosk in Sparwood is open every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fernie Chamber of Commerce office.
All employment services (including printing and computer use) are free!
Employer space is available and must be reserved in advance. Forms are available through our storefront or website (www.ekemployment.org/community_job_fair/ ).
Registration forms and fees are due by Friday, October 17. Employers will not want to miss this great community event or the opportunity to collect a substantial amount of resumes and conduct on the spot pre-screening interviews. Employers from across the region are invited to attend.
