Family hopeful quad will be returned

A Lumberton area family is hopeful that thieves will do the right thing and return a quad stolen from their residence.

The quad and a dirt bike were stolen August 24 but Cranbrook RCMP recovered the bike soon after.

A suspect remains at large and the quad is still missing, Bobbi Zoney told e-KNOW.

“My son was left that quad by his grandfather who passed away a few years ago and it really means a great deal to us,” she said, offering a description of a vehicle used in the theft and providing a photo of the missing quad (above).

“A very reliable witness who actually spoke to the thieves when they were loading the quad in the pickup described the pickup as a 1999ish Ford super duty extended cab, flat black or dark green in colour, with a chain wrapped around the bumper,” she said, adding she’s hopeful that by circulating the photo in public someone will report something.

“It was social media and the local news media that helped us get the bike back, so I know it really does help,” she said.
