Fire chief recognized for quarter century service
City of Kimberley Mayor Ron McRae presents Fire Chief Allen Collinson with the British Columbia 25-year service award.
Fire Chief Collinson began his career with the Kimberley Fire Department on January 12, 1989 as a Call Rank Firefighter. Shortly thereafter, April 9, 1990, he was hired full-time and has worked his way up to being the current Fire Chief.
British Columbia Long Service Medals are awarded by the Provincial Government to persons who have completed at least twenty-five (25) years of paid or volunteer fire service in British Columbia. This is to recognize the dedication and selflessness with which these individuals have served their community and this province in the protection of life and property.
