Fire destroys Gold Creek home


Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services responded to a structure fire in the early morning hours of Monday, November 18 in Gold Creek.

The call made by the RCMP was received by Cranbrook Fire & Emergency Services at 3:32 a.m. to attend a structure fire at 3271-41st Street South. Upon arrival, crews found the home was fully involved and efforts were made to save surrounding buildings and property. Seventeen (17) firefighters and three pieces of firefighting equipment responded.

All occupants of the home have been accounted for. No injuries have been reported. There is currently no damage estimate available.

The cause of the fire will be determined by the RCMP as the fire occurred outside of the city limits.
