Four injured in Steamboat Hill crash
Four people, including at least one child, were taken to East Kootenay Regional Hospital this afternoon after a two-vehicle accident on an infamous section of Highway 3/93 known as Steamboat Hill.
A Ford pick up with five occupants (including three children) and a SUV (with Alberta plates) with three occupants were involved in a head-on collision earlier this afternoon.
RCMP, highway rescue and BC Ambulance Service attended the accident scene and the highway was closed for some time, causing large back-ups of traffic.
Two people in the SUV and two from the pickup were taken to EKRH with unknown injuries at this time.
Both vehicles had severe front-end damage and their air bags deployed
