Highway 93 closed in KNP
Highway 93 is closed through Kootenay National Park due to an avalanche warning.
High avalanche risk from an atmospheric river has prompted a safety closure from the Trans-Canada Highway to Settler’s Road starting Wednesday, March 18 at 2 p.m. with reopening expected March 21 at noon.
Detours:
Use the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1) between Lake Louise and Golden and the Highway 95 south to Radium Hot Springs.
