Impaired driver crashes into a house
At 1:45 a.m. a 19-year-old female failed to negotiate a corner on Archibald Street in Kimberley and crashed into a house. Police, Kimberley Fire Department and BC Ambulance attended the crash and found the driver under the influence of alcohol.
An impaired driving investigation was initiated and she provided two breath samples of 130 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml blood.
The two occupants of the house were checked by BC Ambulance; one was taken to hospital for further evaluation. The injuries were not serious.
The driver from Cranbrook is facing Impaired Driving Charges and will appear in Court in September.
