McRae Campaign Kicks-off with Open House in the Platzl this evening
The Ron McRae for Mayor campaign office opened Saturday in Kimberley’s Platzl with an open house attended by many local residents.
“We were very pleased with the number of people who stopped by our open house on Saturday,” stated McRae. “Having a central location where people can come and ask questions, or share their vision for Kimberley’s future is important to me.”
The office will be staffed by campaign volunteers and will serve as a contact centre for all residents and business owners who would like to learn more about McRae’s campaign. However, the office is just one way McRae will connect with the community leading up to the November 19 election.
“We’ll be hosting a number of events over the next few weeks, starting with a gathering of Kimberley business people at the Bean Tree on Wednesday, October 19 from 7-9 p.m.,” said Greg Bradley, McRae’s campaign manager. “We also have a community open house scheduled for 7 p.m. on November 2 at the Buddha Belly Deli in Marysville. A number of other meetings are also in the works and we are really happy with the response we are getting. Our focus is on listening to what the citizens of Kimberley want for the future of their community and we are finding that these events are a great way to get the conversation started.”
The Ron McRae for Mayor campaign office is located inside Black Bear Books and Videos in the Platzl.
