Adoption of Tax Exemption Bylaws

After receiving the First Three Readings on October 13, the City of Kimberley’s ‘Permissive Tax Exemption Bylaw No. 2525, 2015’ and ‘Special Exemption Bylaw 2526, 2015’ will both be placed on the October 26 regular council meeting agenda for adoption.

The City of Kimberley Water Shortage Response Bylaw No. 2527, 2015 received first reading on October 13 and will be placed on the October 26 regular council meeting agenda for second reading.

Ponderosa Trail Fuels Management Project

Strengthening Non-Profit Organizations

If you work or volunteer with a non-profit organization, you can get help to address a variety of organizational development needs through Columbia Basin Trust’s Non-Profit Advisors Program. The opening date for the Marysville Arena is Sunday, October 25. Please call the Operations desk at 250-427-9660 for booking information and schedules.

Halloween Fun at the Aquatic Centre

halloween-mediumIf you’re 10 to 17 years of age, come out for our Teen Pumpkin Hunt on Friday, October 30 from 7 to 9:30 p.m., followed by a late night swim from 9:30 to 11 p.m. Please register in advance, individual hunters or teams of up to four by visiting the pool or call 250-427-2983. The Children’s Boo-Nanza event is on Saturday October 31 from 1 to 4 p.m. This family event is geared for younger swimmers, but all ages are welcome!

Online Survey of Regional Consumers

An online consumer survey is being conducted by the municipalities of Kimberley and Cranbrook. The purpose of the survey is to develop a better understanding of consumer behaviour in the Cranbrook-Kimberley economic corridor. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. This information will help entrepreneurs in the region compete and inform regional business retention and expansion strategy.
