Obituary of Austin Clarence Parisien
Austin Clarence Parisien
Austin loved animals, which led to fostering cats for Meant 2 Be Loved Pet Rescue. This also made things easier when his daughter Carrie brought home countless strays such as horses, cats, dogs, bunnies, and even a boyfriend, Jeromy, who still holds title of favourite son-in-law. In retirement he spent his time fishing, golfing, and cheering on his beloved Saskatchewan Roughriders despite their standings in the league. Bake-offs with Des, hiding the to-do list from Patti, coaching Scott in house maintenance, and weekend brunches with Carrie were things that brought him much joy. Austin and Patti loved to travel and seek refuge on beautiful beaches around the world during Canada’s winters.
Austin was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Eleanor, and brothers Ron, Lyle, and Jim. He is survived by his wife Patti, sons Darren (Kyla), Scott (Desiree), daughter Carrie (Jeromy), sisters Annette and Charlotte, brothers Terry (Debbie), Chris (Elaine), and Neil (Kris), as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and his beloved cat, Simon.
Austin’s sense of humour, unending generosity, and colourful storytelling will missed by all who knew him.
Per Austin’s request, there will be no Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Meant 2 Be Loved Pet Rescue, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Canadian MPN Research Foundation.
