Palliser FSR Bridge to be closed for replacement

The Palliser Forest Service Road (FSR) Bridge will be closed just after the May long weekend, possibly through to the July long weekend, because of reconstruction/replacement.

The bridge is located at the 13 km mark on the Settler’s – Cross – Palliser FSR.

“An alternate route to the Cross River/Nipika area is the Kootenay FSR from Canal Flats to the Palliser FSR (±53km), then north on the Palliser (±21½km to Palliser-Cross intersection),” explained Aina Cernenoks, Recreation Officer with the Rocky Mountain District Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations.
