Cherry Creek Falls Park enhancements planned for this year by the Regional District of East Kootenay and the Meadowbrook Community Association included a safety fence, parking lot improvements, an information kiosk, benches and picnic tables.

The official opening had been planned for September 19. Unfortunately, since not all the work will be completed until after that date, the celebration has been postponed until the spring of 2016.
