Phantom Campaign makes a real difference

The East Kootenay Foundation for Health’s (EKFH) second annual ‘Phantom Celebrating Health Care Campaign’ wrapped up late last year and was an overwhelming success once again.

Past sponsors, donors and many new supporters continued to show just how generous the people of the Columbia Valley are, donating $6,000, which was in turn matched dollar for dollar by Kootenay Savings, continuing the local credit union’s long-standing fundraising partnership with EKFH.

EKFH is excited to share that it has now released funding confirmations from the proceeds of the campaign to purchase supplies and equipment for Invermere & District Hospital, Columbia House Residential Care Facility and the Chronic Disease Management Program.

Invermere & District Hospital

– Emergency Room Cuffalator Endotracheal Tube Inflator and Manometer

– 1.3 foot freezer for Rehab Therapy Ice Packs

– Partial proceeds for Diagnostic Imaging ECG Cart.

Columbia House Residential Care Facility

– Electric Pill Crusher.

Chronic Disease Management

– Therabands for Resistance Exercise Program

– Blood Pressure Monitor Cuff

– Pulse Oximeter

– Heart Rate Monitors.

As an extra incentive to support the campaign, all donors were entered into a random prize draw for the chance to win a $500 Kootenay Savings term deposit, with Ron Clarke of Invermere being selected as the lucky winner.
