Our officers recover a large amount of stolen property, but too often we can’t get it back to the rightful owner because there are no identifying marks.
Our Cranbrook RCMP Community Policing Team is very excited to offer the community engraving tools that are absolutely free to use!
By engraving your belongings with an identifier, you:
• Make your property less appealing to thieves.
• Make it harder for thieves to sell stolen property.
• Make it easier for police to return your items if they’re lost or stolen.
• Take an active step in protecting what’s yours.
Bring your item and a piece of photo ID down to the detachment (31-11th Avenue S) and we will help you engrave it with an identifier of your choice.
Can’t make it in? Call 250-489-3471 and we can discuss how to have a member of Community Policing or one of our volunteers assist you.
This simple step makes it much easier for police to return your property if it’s ever lost or stolen. Let’s work together to protect your belongings by taking part in this initiative today!
