RCMP seek pair to speak with following fire

ElkoStationOn Wednesday morning July 17, shortly after 12:30 a.m., Cranbrook RCMP attended the old Elko train station building located at #1 Van Horne Street to find the Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services extinguishing flames on the back side of the building. The scene was examined the following morning by the RCMP and fire department and is believed to be suspicious. Damage to the building as a result of the fire is considered minimal as it was quickly put out.

If anyone has information in relation to this suspicious fire they are asked to call their local RCMP Detachment with the information.

If anyone has any additional information about this or any other crime they can call the Cranbrook RCMP at 250-489-3471 or East Kootenay Crimestoppers (1-800-222-TIPS).
