Residents asked to avoid Elizabeth Lake walking trails
Parents in and around the City of Cranbrook are being strongly encouraged to talk to their children about the potential dangers of high and fast moving water levels and have children keep well away from the walking bridge and pathways around Elizabeth Lake.
Over the past few days a number of people and some kids have been observed climbing and playing on the walking bridge at Elizabeth Lake, which is currently under water due to heightened spring water levels.
The City of Cranbrook is advising the public that the walking bridge and other structures at Elizabeth Lake may be unsafe and as such you are asked to please avoid using the pathways around Elizabeth Lake until further notice.
