It’s going to be a seasoned Electoral Area crew heading to the Regional District of East Kootenay board table Dec. 1/2.

Every single rural director from the last board is returning after the Nov. 19 election.

Electoral Areas B, C and F directors Heath Slee, Rob Gay and Wendy Booth were spared electoral stress due to being acclaimed, but Area A director Mike Sosnowski, Area E director Jane Walter and Area G director Gerry Wilkie all survived challenges and will be returning to the regional board table.

Walter faced two challengers in Sharon Mielnichuk and Jim Westwood but ran away with the final tally, 288 votes for to 96 and 91.

Sosnowski topped Oscar Nielsen by 70 votes, 279 to 209 and Wilkie defeated Roberta Hall 202-126.
