SD5 Board Notes
The following is a summary of School District No. 5 (SD5) School Board of Trustees’ motions carried on September 11 during the board meeting in Cranbrook
Newly hired Superintendent Bendina Miller was warmly introduced and welcomed.
Aside from regular reports to the board and motions carried (below), the board also received reports on the District Student Achievement Contract (from Director of Student Learning, Diane Casault) and Aboriginal Education Enhancement (from Director of Instruction/Safety, Doug McPhee).

Capital Project Bylaw No. 126438 – Carbon Neutral Capital Program (three readings carried unanimously).
Capital Project Bylaw No. 126492 – Repair, Upgrade or Replacement of Existing Playground Equipment (three readings carried unanimously).
