Silver Spring Drive home destroyed in blaze
A home at 3749 Silver Spring Drive in Cranbrook was destroyed in a fire on the evening of April 12.
Cranbrook Fire & Emergency Services received a report of the fire at 8:40 p.m. and upon arrival, responding crews noted that the dwellings’ attached garage was fully involved in fire. The fire quickly spread into the eaves of the dwelling and subsequently spread to the remainder of the home.
Cranbrook Fire & Emergency Services responded with two water tenders, two engines and 16 firefighters.
The fire resulted in a total loss of the building and contents. Investigation of the cause of the fire is currently ongoing by the RCMP.
