Snow and slippery sections on all highways

If you are heading out on or coming onto East Kootenay highways today, please be advised that winter driving conditions are on full display.

DriveBC is reporting compact snow with slippery sections on regional highways, including Highway 43 from the junction with Highway 3 to Elkford, and on Highway 3 from Sparwood to British Columbia and Alberta Border. The same conditions apply to Highway 3 between Fernie and Sparwood, and from Fernie to Cranbrook.

Compact snow and slippery sections is the order so far for today from Elko to the Montana border on Highway 93.

Highway 3/95 has compact snow with slippery sections from Cranbrook to Creston and Highway 95A has the same conditions between Cranbrook and Kimberley and the same is reported for Highway 3/93 from Cranbrook to Fort Steele.

Highway 93/95 has compact snow with slippery sections from the junction of Highway 95A to Radium Hot Springs., and from Radium to Golden on Highway 95.

Highway 93 through Kootenay National Park is also covered with snow with slippery sections, as is the Trans-Canada Highway.

Compact snow is also reported on Highway 95 from the British Columbia and Idaho Border to Curzon Junction at Highway 3.
