Staudt choice for city CAO

The City of Cranbrook has concluded its search for a replacement chief administrative officer, opting to hire from within.

Mayor Wayne Stetski last night (Oct. 22) announced that interim CAO Wayne Staudt has been hired to replace Will Pearce, who became CAO of Vernon in June.

“We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Wayne Staudt as CAO for the City of Cranbrook,” Stetski stated. “Mr. Staudt has a long history with our community and his vision for what he would like to accomplish for the next few years resonated well with council. I really look forward to the next few years working with him.”
After Stetski made the announcement during council’s regular meeting, Corporate Services director Roy Hales administered the oath of office to Staudt, who has been Interim CAO since June.
