Vegetation management work underway
The NorthStar Rails 2 Trails Society began a vegetation management program along the trail system, Thursday, May 8.
Work is expected to take up to approximately three weeks (weather dependent) to the end of May.
The vegetation management program will include a spray program to control noxious weeds, and prevent ingrowth along the trail that has contributed to trail degradation and safety/visibility issues. Spraying will take place at various locations along the trail as weather conditions permit.
Trail users will generally be able to pass during the treatment, however temporary delays during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday may be experienced.
Users are reminded to watch for signage and be aware that machinery and personnel will be on site.
