Airport open house featuring aerobatic display
Learn about the Fairmont Airport and Columbia Valley Airport Society and the essential services it supports for the Columbia Valley during an open house and fly-in Saturday, Sept. 6.
Starting at 9:30 a.m., meet volunteers who dedicate many hours of their time to run the airport, and take in a couple of aerobatic displays by Neil Harris, Canadian aerobatic pilot.
Flying a Giles G-200, Neil will wow us all with his amazing aerobatic flying skills at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
We recommend being at the airport at least 15 minutes prior to the show start time. Each show is approximately 10-15 minutes in length.
Parking is limited; please adhere to all parking signage and our volunteers.
The Airport Open House also features:
– Pancake Breakfast (9-11 a.m.) + Hot Dog BBQ (11 a.m.-1 p.m.) by donation;
– Kids games;
– 50/50 Raffles;
– Flight simulator (by donation, sign up required);
– Learn about the airport’s history;
– View visiting aircraft;
– Online auction, Sept. 2 – 9.
Please be sure to bring cash for raffles & donations. All proceeds support operations at the airport!
