Canadiana supreme on Lake Windermere
There is nothing quite as Canadian as playing hockey in the back yard rink or on a pond. Natural ice always feels good under the blades. Put up some lights and you can even do it when the sun goes down.
That’s exactly what happened on Lake Windermere this past weekend, as the Columbia Valley Rockies hosted their annual Pond Hockey Championship.
Spectators and competitors enjoyed end-to-end rushes, dazzling tic-tac-toe passes and, of course, some crazy team uniforms.
Here are a few pictures of Friday night’s action at Invermere’s Kinsmen Beach.
