Canal Flats home destroyed in early morning fire
At 1:54 a.m. Feb. 7, Canal Flats Fire Rescue (CFFR) was dispatched to a residential structure fire on Bailley Grohman Avenue.
The occupant and pets were accounted for, but unfortunately the mobile home was a total loss.
A huge thank you to Fairmont Fire Rescue for the mutual aid, Windermere Fire Rescue for helping with salvage and overhaul (and for bringing the much-needed coffee!), and to Drew for providing all the extra hands and the coffee cups!
Moments like these truly remind us what it means to live in such a strong valley community. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who answered the call that night, from our fellow firefighters to the amazing locals who helped pull more than a few hundred feet of hydrant hose, took in pets, made hot drinks, and brought out baked treats.
Your help and support means the world to us.
