Mobile vaccine clinic in Canal Flats for drop-ins June 30

Interior Health’s mobile immunization clinic will make a stop in Canal Flats on June 30 for anyone who has not yet received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

No advance appointments are necessary for this clinic. People who live or work in the Canal Flats area will be able to walk-up, register and receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

Interior Health’s mobile immunization clinics are a partnership with the British Columbia Automobile Association (BCAA), and are travelling through the Interior region, making stops in over 40 communities along the way.

Drop-In Vaccinations

Location: Canal Flats Community Hall, 8909 Dunn Street

Time: Wednesday, June 30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For: People in the Canal Flats area who are born in 2009 or earlier, and who have not yet received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Heat Safety

This clinic will be indoors, however, it is important that everyone attending the drop-in clinic is prepared for extreme heat. Please check here to review who is most at risk, symptoms to watch for and what steps to take to avoid heat related illness.

Everyone should consider carrying water, wear sunscreen, light clothes and carry a sun shade/umbrella to provide protection from the sun if needed.
