Columbia Valley RCMP Report
By Sgt. Ed deJong
This past week, November 13 to Nov. 20, Columbia Valley RCMP responded to 65 calls for service. The following is a summary of some of the files our officers responded to.
Uptick in mental health related calls
The past week did not see any significant files of a criminal nature.
Columbia Valley RCMP have seen an uptick in mental health related calls. As the holidays approach, it becomes more difficult for some people to cope. If you know someone who suffers with mental health concerns, please take the time to reach out and check in on them to see how they are doing.
Sometimes it just takes a kind gesture or words to help someone through a tough day.
