Columbia Valley RCMP Report
This past week, May 20 to May 27, Columbia Valley RCMP responded to 55 calls for service. The following is a summary of some of the files our officers responded to.
Police searching for missing man
Columbia Valley RCMP is currently investigating a missing person complaint. Bryce LaGlace, 21, was reported missing on May 24 and has not been in contact with the complainant since April 16. Bryce is described as 5’11” tall, approximately 150 lbs with brown hair and hazel eyes. If you have any information on Bryce’s where-a-bouts, please contact the Columbia Valley RCMP at 250-341-3801.
Search warrant yields cocaine and more than $28,000 in cash
On May 24, Columbia Valley RCMP executed a search warrant on a residence in the Windermere Pointe complex in relation to a drug trafficking complaint. As a result of the search, police located and seized approximately 14 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia and packaging consistent with drug trafficking and, in excess of, $28,000 in Canadian currency. The investigation is ongoing with charges pending.
Impaired driver stopped
On May 26 at 3:01 a.m., Columbia Valley RCMP responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver. The vehicle was located and a roadside breath test was administered, resulting in a Fail. The driver was issued a 90 day driving prohibition and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
