This past week, May 6 to May 13, Columbia Valley RCMP responded to 76 calls for service.

Extra members on shift and detachment ready for long weekend

The majority of files were of the routine nature with no significant events.

The Columbia Valley RCMP is gearing up for a busy May long weekend.

There will be extra members on shift and there will be a focus on impaired driving.

If you are planning on consuming alcohol or drugs this weekend, please do so in a safe manner and plan for an alternative ride home, if required, before you go out.
