CVSAR rescue injured hiker in MAPP

On Sept 2, Columbia Valley Search and Rescue (CVSAR) responded to an injured hiker in Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park (MAPP).

A team flew to the scene, stabilized the injury and transported the subject to the awaiting Ambulance for further care.

Not long after the rescue the subject reached out and expressed immense gratitude for the rescue. They went on to say “[CVSAR’s] level of professionalism and care, and knowing what I needed to hear at an especially vulnerable time is something I’ll remember.”

A huge thank you to both our responding members and to those behind the scenes. And an even bigger thank you to the community that supports our work through donations and fundraising. It’s been a busy summer and we couldn’t do what we do without the incredible support from the community.
