Effective 4 pm Mountain Time Sept. 15, the Evacuation Alert for the Silver Basin wildfire adjacent to Bugaboo Provincial Park has been lifted.

“The BC Wildfire Service has now classified the fire as Being Held and have recommended that it is safe to rescind the Evacuation Alert,” said Loree Duczek, Regional Emergency Operations Centre Information Officer.

The Evacuation Alert has been in effect since August 30. A copy of the Rescind and associated map can be found on the Evacuation Alerts and Orders page on www.rdek.bc.ca.
