Highway 93 reopened through park
Highway 93 has been reopened through Kootenay National Park.
However, authorities note the highway continues to be affected by wildfire, smoke and fire suppression activities.
Smoke is affecting visibility and further closures may be required without notice depending on fire behaviour, especially late afternoon and overnight.
Drivers are advised to expect reduced speeds and possible delays. Travel between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. is recommended. A travel advisory in effect.
