A total of 11 teams converged on Taynton Bay for the 17th annual Kinsmen Club Snow Golf Tournament, held Saturday, Jan. 13, on Lake Windermere.

The event is a very unique way for amateurs and enthusiasts of the game to test their skills on the great equalizer that is a snow and slush covered 18-hole course. Golf “carts” often consisted of snowmobiles, ATVs and Side-by-Side off-road vehicles; many towed trailers to tote their clubs and other lake golf essentials including coolers, fire pits and portable stereos/speakers.

All funds raised during the tourney are returned to the community in the form of donations and services by the Kinsmen Club of Windermere Valley.
