Ambassadors provide fun and education at Regatta

Invermere’s Kinsmen Beach is always a busy place during the summer, so it’s an excellent spot to educate people about the lake and its issues.
One of the ways the Lake Windermere Ambassadors (LWA), a group of stakeholders committed to ensuring that Lake Windermere remains a healthy, functioning ecosystem for future generations, can reach out to people is through their annual Lake Windermere Regatta.
On Saturday, July 21, from 1 to 5 p.m., LWA members hosted the free event with a series of fun races, games and information.
Sailing, swimming, canoeing, contests, volleyball, an art expo, Wakeboarding and rowing were among the activities available for beach-goers.
LWA also provided information about Lake Windermere and its watershed at the Lake Windermere Ambassadors’ tent!
