Another huge win for Canadian Cancer Society

The Columbia Valley always digs deep for great causes and there is no greater example than the annual Relay for Life held at the David Thompson Secondary School track.

The $50,000 mark has once again been reached by relay organizers, noted event chair Sheila Tutty.

The following are some images taken during the June 16 event.

Included in the photos:  Benjamen Oliver –  who first had his face painted, his hair dyed, then his head shaved. He and his brother Graycen raised over $700 for the Relay. The two little girls are from Colleen Wagner’s Desiderata Dance Studio performing to the song ‘Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini’ and the participants take part in an opening stretch (top photo) and the Survivors’ Victory Lap.
