Electronics round-up this Saturday at arena
Columbia Valley residents with fried electronics products – take note.
There is an electronics round-up behind Invermere’s Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena on Saturday, Oct. 27, and the list of accepted items is lengthy!
The round-up is a result of the Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) working with Encorp to identify a full-time electronics recycling depot for the Columbia Valley. Currently the nearest one is in Cranbrook.
“To date they (Encorp) have been unable to locate a suitable location. We worked hard to get them to do a round up once a year and based on the tremendous success of the round ups, they’ve done two per year for the past two years. Please take your old electronics to the round up this Saturday – I’m hoping the strong turnout to each of these events will continue to illustrate the need for a permanent facility,” stated RDEK communications director Loree Duczek.
Among the items that will be accepted for recycling:
