Richard Brunner Invermere curling Volunteer of the Year
In 2002, the Invermere District Curling Centre initiated the Fred Christensen Volunteer of the Year award to recognize volunteers who go above and beyond to make the famous Bonspiel-on-the-Lake a success.
This bonspiel requires a tremendous amount of volunteer hours by many people and it would not happen without these dedicated individuals.
This year’s candidate for volunteer of the year was an easy choice.
As well as being a board member of the Invermere and District Curling Centre, when it comes to the “Bonspiel on the Lake,” you will find Richard at Kinsmen Beach more than you will find him at home.
His personality, sense of humour and work ethic are inspirational and so appreciated. Thank you, Richard Brunner!
