Invermere Film Festival’s final screening of the season is The Accountant 2 on Tuesday, June 3 at 7 p.m. at Columbia Valley Centre.

The Accountant 2 is a fun, if far-fetched ride, that blends action, comedy, and a few heartfelt “aw shucks” moments. After a nine-year hiatus, the franchise returns with most of the original cast, including Ben Affleck as Christian Wolff—an autistic accountant who moonlights as a vigilante—and Jon Bernthal as his estranged brother, Braxton.
This time around, the duo teams up to track down a missing woman and her son. The sequel ups the entertainment factor by leaning into the buddy-comedy dynamic between Affleck and Bernthal, delivering a mix of intense action and sharp humor.
While it may stretch believability, The Accountant 2 embraces its tone and delivers exactly what it promises: a good time at the movies.
