Local club hosts first BCWF Fishing Forever event
On Saturday, February 10, the Lake Windermere Rod & Gun Club hosted a BC Wildlife Federation Fishing Forever event. This is the very first Ice Fishing event for the BCWF Fishing Forever Program.
The BCWF Fishing Forever is grateful that the Lake Windermere Rod & Gun Club hosted this Fishing Forever event this year and that they are planning on doing it on the first Saturday in February for the next five years.
Fishing is a skill that can be learned and enjoyed by anyone. Through the Fishing Forever program, the B.C. Wildlife Federation helps spread the message that allowing individuals with diverse abilities you can still get out and enjoy what nature can offer, though it may require some help you didn’t need before. The Fishing Forever program provides an opportunity whereby allowing individuals with diverse abilities can learn, or continue, to fish and enjoy the outdoors.
At this time the BCWF Fishing Forever would like to give a big thank you to those companies and businesses that supported this event, without your kind support it would be a lot more difficult to put on this Fishing Forever event.
