Maker Space Society discovery days upcoming
The Columbia Valley Maker Space Society will be putting on a Discovery Day on Saturday, October 13, at the Canal Flats Community Centre.
“We will be showing off samples of events and classes that we are planning to put on this year. Anyone from the age of 5 and up can come to learn how to program computers, build electronic kits, see a 3D printer, build mechanical devices and generally have fun,” explained Brian McIntosh of the Columbia Valley Maker Space Society.
The Maker Space Society is a volunteer run organization dedicated to helping communities come together to learn, collaborate on projects, create and make.
“Drop in anytime during the day, have a copy, see what we do and have some fun,” McIntosh said.
The Maker Space Discovery Festival will also be stopping into Invermere (Royal Canadian Legion) and Radium Hot Springs (Radium Community Centre) on Oct. 20 and 27.
